O. Scott Swayze, M.D. is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon who treats a wide variety of orthopaedic problems. He specializes in general orthopaedics, total joint replacement and sports medicine. Dr. Swayze is a member of the WellStar Health System Board of Trustees. He offers orthopaedic treatment to patients in the Hiram, Marietta, and Woodstock locations.
Dr. Swayze received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and his Medical Degree from the University of Mississippi. His General Surgery Internship and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency were both completed at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Swayze is a member of the WellStar Board of Trustees and is a member of several local, state and national orthopaedic associations. He has also been the team physician for many local schools and sporting events.
Dr. Swayze currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Carol, and their dogs, Jackson and Rosie. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, church, and activities with his five children and two grandchildren.
